The Origin of Palmyra Luncheonette
Tom and Lisa Tsamutalos have a combined history of 50 years in the restaurant business in New Jersey, with significant time spent in multiple locations. Their journey in the industry began in Haddonfield, where they operated La Strada from 1971 to 1988. Following that, they spent 10 years running a restaurant in Pennsauken and then with their ownership and operation of The New Maple Hill Restaurant in Maple Shade for 18 years. Their restaurant became well-known in the local community, defining a standard for classic comfort dining until its sale in 2024.
In 2025, Tom and Lisa built upon their lengthy experience and commitment to hospitality and have opened the Palmyra Luncheonette, demonstrating their ongoing passion for serving great food and fostering local dining traditions in South Jersey. Their career showcases a deep dedication to New Jersey’s restaurant scene through decades of hard work and the cultivation of welcoming, memorable eateries.
